Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy exists for a full-time Speech and Language Therapist position for within the Division of Student Services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will be part of the Non-Public School Services program at the CCIU. This position is located IU Countrywide Non-Public Schools.

Summary:
The Speech-Language Therapist (SLP) provides a full range of speech and language services to students from Prekindergarten through 8th grade, including assessment, intervention planning, direct therapy, consultation, and program development. As a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team, the SLP helps determine student eligibility for special education services, develops individualized programming, and supports ongoing service delivery. Under the direction of the program supervisor, the SLP delivers comprehensive services to individuals and groups, addressing a variety of communication needs such as speech sound disorders, language impairments, fluency, and social communication. The SLP works closely with students, families, educators, and administrators to promote academic and functional success, ensuring all services are delivered in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and grounded in evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
• PDE certification in Speech & Language PK-12 required
• Master's degree in Communicative Disorders required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence; Clinical Fellowship year considered
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
• Specialized knowledge and experience working with students with autism preferred
• Specialized knowledge and experience working with AAC preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide speech/language therapy services, complete evaluations and maintain all paperwork for a caseload of students including itinerant classrooms.
Location:
IU Non-Public Schools Countywide (It will be supporting multiple schools, exact schools will be determined at time of interview)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 194 days/yr; 7.5 hrs/day for your 1st year, 191 days/yr; for your second year; 190 day/yr. for your third year and on.
Salary 2026-27 School Year:
$62,155 to $89,730 - Instructional I Certification
$64,834 to $93,324 - Instructional II Certification
$69,353 to $101,911 - Master's Degree
$$72,740 to $105,924 - Master's +15
$$74,415 to $107,845 - Masters + 30
*Placement on salary schedule based on previous experience
