About the role Responsible for the educational care and development of a class of children in accordance with the philosophy of the school’s curriculum program. The five key objectives of Early Years teacher in this role are as follows: ● High Quality Planning and Teaching Practice ● Tracking assessment a data for the class and supporting with interventions ● Contribution to Learning Area and Curriculum Development ● Building Relationships with Students, Staff and Parents ● Contribution to the Whole School Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS Framework and school curriculum. Create a stimulating, inclusive and enabling learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity and independence. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including those requiring additional support or challenge. Use ongoing observation and assessment to inform planning and next steps in learning. Foster children's communication, language, literacy, mathematical and social development through purposeful play and adult-led learning. Promote children's confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills and love of learning. Monitor and track children's progress, maintaining accurate assessment records. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and progression across the Early Years provision. Communication and Partnerships Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers. Communicate regularly with families regarding children's learning, progress and wellbeing. Contribute to parent meetings, workshops, consultations and school events. Maintain timely and accurate communication through agreed school platforms. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, specialist teachers and support staff. Liaise effectively with external agencies and professionals when required. Act as a positive ambassador for the school within the wider community. Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Ensure every child feels safe, valued, respected and included. Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, consistent and developmentally appropriate approaches. Support children's emotional wellbeing, self-regulation and social development. Develop strong relationships with children to ensure they feel seen, heard and celebrated. Encourage positive friendships, cooperation and respect for others. Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing concerns. Foster a culture of kindness, belonging and inclusion within the classroom and wider school community. Support children through transitions into, within and beyond the Early Years setting. Organisation, Safeguarding and School Policies Maintain a safe, organised and well-resourced learning environment. Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times. Adhere to school policies, procedures and professional expectations. Complete registers, assessments, reports and other administrative tasks accurately and within agreed timelines. Participate fully in staff meetings, training, professional development and performance management processes. Contribute to risk assessments, educational visits and school events as required. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Support the school's vision, values and commitment to continuous improvement. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Head of School or Early Years Leader. The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEP so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third part services. Who we are looking for Qualifications and Experience Experience of the UK Early Years curriculum Qualified to work with/teach students Education and licensing – list the minimum education, certification and/or licensing needed to be successful in this position Working Conditions 7.30 am to 4.00 pm, 5 days per week Meetings as required Teachers are required to be involved in school functions, meetings, events and professional development days as necessary, both within and outside of school hours Located at St Andrews International School, Sathorn Campus, Bangkok, Thailand School Environment Not expected to work regularly on a Saturday or Sunday, but must be prepared to attend any school functions, events or training that may occur in the course of an academic year. One Saturday playgroup and school fair are required.
