Food Service Worker – Dietary Department
Uvalde Memorial Hospital is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Food Service Worker to join our Dietary team. This position plays an important role in supporting patient care and enhancing the hospital experience by assisting with food preparation, cafeteria operations, meal service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food, stocking supplies, operating a cash register, delivering patient meal carts, and supporting daily cafeteria operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Food Handler's Certification required within 30 days of hire
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed
