We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our growing Governance Services team. In this role, you’ll work as part of our Global Accounting team to deliver accounting services to a diverse portfolio of client entities across multiple jurisdictions.

About the role
In this role you will:
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and FRS 102
Prepare various management accounts and reports
Prepare periodic reports, capital account statements and net asset valuations
Provide information for and manage the audit process for clients
Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers
Manage the preparation, review and submission of FATCA and CRS returns
Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records in the client entity databases (including Viewpoint, Quickbooks and Yardi)
Ensure you have and maintain a detailed understanding of the transactions you are dealing with and liaise with your line manager on a regular basis
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure client expectations and deadlines are properly managed
Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues to resolve accounting queries, providing explanations and accounting support as and when required
Ensure consistency of accounting service levels across all clients and swiftly deal with any identified issues
Show an awareness of the integration of Governance Services across jurisdictions and with the law firm, operating in a unified, consistent and coordinated manner
Be familiar with and act at all times in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures
Maintain CPD levels required for your role and any professional bodies of which you are a member
About you - essential requirements
A desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification, already part-qualified or qualified by relevant experience with good up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application
Previous experience of accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and Quickbooks would be an advantage
Excellent working knowledge of Excel
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
