Cadence Technologies is seeking exceptional candidates who thrive in fast paced work environments, providing solutions for food/beverage manufacturing companies by providing replacement parts and new processing equipment to make their products. Cadence supports many of the largest food/beverage manufacturing companies with facilities located southeast region of the United States by providing them with parts and equipment made by the leading sanitary process equipment manufacturers.
The Shipping and Receiving role is responsible for ensuring the warehouse operations run smoothly to support the flow of products in/out and throughout the warehouse and inventory locations. In addition, this role will be critical in expediting shipments, staging deliveries and quoting unique delivery solutions to support a dynamic client base and service team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against digital inventory records.
- Create and update new item records in the inventory system, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and storage locations.
- Stage parts for the service team and ensure requests are processed according to required timelines, with costs transferred to the appropriate cost centers.
- Receive incoming project parts, verify materials against packing slips and purchase orders, organize and stage materials, and kit/consolidate items based on installation schedules.
- Coordinate project-related shipments with Project Managers.
- Support field cycle counts and process inventory transfers to support Vendor Managed Inventory needs.
- Maintain required storage conditions to preserve product quality.
- Cross-train service team members on warehousing tasks, including receiving, staging, cycle counts, and material movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse with clearly identified stations for project materials and kitted components.
Quality Assurance
- Verify inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation against digital records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory control environment.
- Experience using inventory management, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to perform inventory reconciliations, inventory transfers, and inventory adjustments.
- Experience reading and verifying purchase orders, packing slips, part numbers, inventory reports, and shipment documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and Microsoft Office or similar systems.
- Experience staging, kitting, labeling, and organizing parts or materials.
- Ability to communicate with internal teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to support inventory and shipment needs.
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
TRAVEL
- 10% to 20% - Regional travel to customer facilities for occasional cycle counts and inventory restocking of VMI cabinets.
