Job Description
Objective of job
The function architecture (Chassis) for defining, designing, and evolving the chassis domain system design next-generation electrical/electronic (E/E) systems. This role shall design the EE control system of chassis domain in a way that delivers best user experience, safety and security level while balancing the system complexity and cost.
You will play a key role in enabling software-defined vehicle capabilities by designing the system in a software/hardware decoupled, highly abstractly way.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the leading role in the organization to identify the development trend of chassis domain system: new tech, new features, etc.,
- Be responsible in chassis domain system design: IO requirements, signal and service requirement, safety and security requirement, diagnostic requirement, function specification, performance requirement.
- Lead cross-domain architecture reviews and decision-making
- Collaborate with system architects, software teams, and ECU suppliers to ensure seamless integration
- Be the 1st responsibility to in performing trouble shooting in the chassis domain system to ensure the timely and quality delivery.
- Contribute to long-term E/E architecture roadmap
Qualification
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in chassis domain system design, function design
- Experience with OEM or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is strongly preferred
- Experience in delivering chassis domain system design in a centralized EE architecture and SOA platform is preferred
- It is preferred that the candidate has experience in coordinated vehicle motion control system design, e.g. brake and steering system coordinated features.
- It is preferred that the candidate has experience in improving chassis performance with AI.
- It is preferred that the candidate has experience in advanced chassis technology like full active suspension,
Technical Skills
- Familiary with chassis domain system design. Specialized in function and system design in at least one of the following fields: steering, brake, suspension, propulsion. Have general knowledge in the above-mentioned field.
- Strong knowledge in developing vehicle level requirement into EE system solution, e.g. develop the brake response performance requirement into EE requirement regarding topology, communication, software and chip selection, etc.
- Experienced in cooperating with high level autonomous driving system, Deep understand AD’s requirement on chassis system.
· Deep understanding of the safety concept and corresponding countermeasure applied in chassis domain. Able to design proper redundant solutions against given requirement and deliver proper evaluation between different options regarding the balance between system complexity, cost and FIT.
- Familiar with SOA concepts, able to contribute to system abstraction and API definition for chassis domain system.
- Able to work in software way and participate in software design discussions with domain know-how.
- Familiary with regularly used in-vehicle networks: CAN,Lin,Eth,Flexray, etc., able to perform chassis domain system trouble shooting with these interfaces and software logs.
- Familiar with at least 1 kind of EEA modeling tool, PREEvision, EA, etc.,
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive) is a plus

- Hands-on experience with MB.OS-like platforms or similar SDV architecture
- Knowledge of cloud connectivity and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication
- Experience in Agile/SAFe development environments
