
Cook / Direct Support Professional
Job Description
The Cook is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks for individuals in accordance with OPWDD, ICF, CMS, DOH, and HCBS Waiver requirements. This position ensures all meals meet established nutritional guidelines, prescribed dietary needs, and individual preferences, while maintaining safe and sanitary food preparation practices. The Cook also provides guidance and support to staff in food preparation procedures, kitchen safety, and sanitation to promote a healthy, person‑centered, and compliant residential environment.
