
Sr. Business Development Engineer (Australia & New Zealand)
Job Description
Purpose of the Position:
The Sr. Business Development Engineer (BDE) for Australia and New Zealand is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share in this region. This role independently manages the entire sales lifecycle, deepens relationships with key accounts, and collaborates with regional distributors and channel partners to close high-value projects. Acting as a bridge between the market and internal teams, the Sr. BDE leverages technical trends, manages sales pipelines, and aligns cross-functional resources to secure sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities of this Position:
- Manage and develop assigned priority accounts, driving opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to drive long-term business growth.
- Work closely with overseas distributors and channel partners to identify new business opportunities, develop new customers, and support project closing activities.
- Independently manage sales activities, customer engagements, and business development initiatives, including frequent overseas travel when required.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Sales, Product Management, Technical Support, and Marketing to respond to customer requirements, project tenders, and technical inquiries.
- Develop and manage sales pipeline and project forecasting to ensure sustainable business growth and target achievement.
- Proactively explore new applications, industries, and market opportunities, with willingness to continuously learn new technologies and industry trends.
- Deliver professional presentations, business proposals, and commercial discussions with customers and partners.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in industrial networking, automation, OT, or related industries.
2. Ability to work independently with strong ownership and self-motivation.
3. Fluent in English (spoken and written)
4. Networking knowledge or experience in Ethernet, industrial networking, cybersecurity, or automation solutions is highly preferred.
5. Experience working with channel partners or international distributors is a plus.
6. Willingness to travel across Australia, New Zealand, and overseas when required.
