UNCOMN is seeking a Data Analyst (Data Management) to:
  • Maintain enterprise data source inventories, metadata, lineage, and governance artifacts supporting operational and cybersecurity data environments.
  • Conduct data source assessments to evaluate utilization, performance, operational value, and alignment with enterprise mission requirements, while identifying opportunities for optimization and rationalization.
  • Monitor enterprise data ingestion, source health, operational performance, and compliance with approved integration patterns, data standards, and governance requirements.
  • Analyze data availability, ingestion metrics, operational trends, and performance indicators to improve enterprise data quality, visibility, and decision support.
  • Develop and maintain reusable dashboards, reports, visualization templates, and design standards that promote consistency, usability, accessibility, and effective communication across enterprise data products.
  • Conduct visualization, usability, and accessibility reviews—including Section 508 considerations—and support implementation of approved enhancements and enterprise standards.
  • Gather stakeholder requirements, facilitate user engagement activities, and document recommendations that improve enterprise reporting, dashboards, and data products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders to enhance enterprise data quality, interoperability, reporting capabilities, and operational decision-making.

Requirements
  • Active Secret clearance or higher required.
  • 5+ years of related experience in data management, data analysis, business intelligence, data governance, enterprise reporting, data operations, or information management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience translating stakeholder requirements into actionable recommendations, documentation, reports, or implementation guidance.
  • Experience maintaining data inventories, data lineage documentation, metadata repositories, data catalogs, or related enterprise data management assets.
  • Experience analyzing data sources, utilization metrics, operational performance indicators, or data quality measures.
  • Experience supporting data governance, data rationalization, interoperability, or enterprise data management initiatives.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting dashboards, reports, visualization assets, or enterprise data products.
  • Experience gathering stakeholder requirements, conducting user interviews, collecting feedback, or supporting user engagement activities.
  • Experience performing usability assessments, requirements analysis, process improvement activities, or product evaluation efforts.
  • Experience with three (3) or more of the following: SQL, Python, Qlik, Kibana, Tableau, Power BI, Palantir Foundry, Maven/Palantir MSS, Advana, Databricks, Collibra, AWS Glue, Unity Catalog, or similar analytics, visualization, governance, and data management technologies.
  • This is an on-site position supporting USTRANSCOM mission requirements; must be able to work on-site with minimal exceptions.
  • Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Combatant Command, transportation, logistics, or other federal mission environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data modernization, governance, portfolio optimization, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, operational analytics, enterprise reporting, or mission-focused decision support environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, interoperability, accessibility (Section 508), or user experience best practices.
  • Relevant technical certifications such as Security+, AWS, Azure, Tableau, Qlik, Databricks, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or comparable industry certifications.

Pay Range: $78,000 - $98,000 per year
