About the role

The quality lab engineer in this role is responsible for designing and maintaining product reliability test methods, equipment and related peripherals, whether developed in-house or procured externally. New developments will be carried out in close collaboration with product qualification engineering and R&D to ensure that product qualification objectives are met within the defined specifications.

What you will do

  • As a quality lab engineer, you will define reliability test systems, lead the development of required electronic boards, perform electrical and reliability testing, optimize test methods, train operational staff, and oversee after care activities such as service and maintenance.
  • You will review the test requirements and set up the test environment, including the necessary circuitry, to carry out lifetime stress testing such as DHTOL for product qualification.
  • As a work package or project owner, you will lead technical alignment with suppliers, manage risks, track schedule, quality, cost and prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
  • You will ensure that test equipment complies with relevant standards, meets health and safety requirements, and remains user‑friendly and fully operational for technical staff
  • You will provide and maintain up to date documentation (working instructions, manuals, etc.)
  • You will participate in continuous improvement studies, FMEA, calibrations, and related activities supporting quality work.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of measurement parameters and test equipment used for characterization and reliability test of SiC and GaN devices
  • Experience in reliability test setups and methods like HTRB, H3TRB, HTGB, DHTOL (preferred)
  • Understanding of analogue and digital circuit design
  • Software Programming skills (C, Python, LabVIEW, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and attitude to bring things forward
  • Great attention to details and analytical thinking seeing the whole
  • Focused on goal and target driven
  • Understanding of industry quality standards AEC-Q101
  • Strong team player, willing to learn and share the knowledge
  • Standard Ms.Office Tools
  • High quality mindset
  • Fluent German and English spoken and written
