As the customer function owner ot Automated Parking Assist functions you will lead the design and delivery of these systems.
You are responsible to design the functional user journey, use case based on user experience and after sale cases. You will decompose the requirements to partner systems on vehicle level and consolidate the requirements to system functions.
In your daily tasks, you have to develop a functional development plans, promote its implementation into the software development plan and at the same time, track the development status and quality.
After software delivery, you are responsible for onboard joint debugging the function, identify, locate and push related system to solve problems.
To ensure the customer function fulfills our customer needs and targets, you need to develop functional KPI requirements and promote their implementation in various subsystems; At the same time, track and verify the performance status of KPIs.
Managing functional development risks, countermeasures and ensure timely delivery of features should be your daily goal.
Tasks:
Cooperation - Is the contact as the customer function owner for questions about function implementation plan, implementation maturity, implementation risk, implementation quality, etc.
- Is the contact as the customer function owner with question about function user journey, keep communication with market, after sales, do benchmark with competitors.
- Is the coordinator between functional implementation, system implementation, and software implementation, reviewing system requirements and software requirements, aligning system/software implementation plan, etc.
- Is the contact for project management and software project management for questions about onboard debugging status, maturity status, change request management, risk management and escalation, etc.
- Is the contact for the customer function with questions about supplier software delivery status, issue management status, etc.
- Is the contact for the customer function with questions about full function test status, full performance test status, etc.

Requirements of the Customer Function - Requirements analysis of all requirements allocated from the regulations, customer complaints, after sales, benchmark, etc.
- Consolidate the Requirements to the customer function specification, write the consolidate requirements for each system on vehicle level.
- Allocate the requirements to the System Function engineers and clarify the requirements to partner systems.
- Link the Requirements from the customer function to the consolidated system function requirements.
- Communicate the consolidated requirements to affected customer function owners, approval for these requirements must be obtained from system engineers.

Technical solution - Lead for technical concepts (+ alternative concepts)
- Identify the contributors needed to resolve the requirements.
- Develop a technical solution concept together with the contributors.
- Documentation of technical solution concepts.
- Communicate technical solution concepts with affected system function owners, get approval for these technical solution concepts.
- Makes the final decision regarding open questions about the technical concept and implementation. Document these decisions in a way that everyone can see.
- Documents the technical architecture view (e.g. technical effect chain) of the system function in a comprehensible and reusable way. Ensures that the form and structure is in quality and form defined by the company and/or project.
- Lead the solution for performance issue, can have deep analysis and evaluation on the solution proposal.

Re-planning cycles and communicating the schedule - Scheduling for the contributions for the technical implementation
- Planning (docked / synchronized with FIP) of the technical implementation (coordination of the functional contribution of other systems)
Coordination of the test activities of the customer function - Monitors the technical implementation regarding to the time and technical accessibility of the requirements.
- Communicating delays to the affected customer function owners and discusses measures to make up for the delay if necessary.

Quality of technical implementation - Participate system function requirements, functional element requirements and system function specification review meetings with all for the specific work-products relevant stakeholders.
- Participate to on board test of customer function full function test, performance test, etc.
- Receives the test reports and evaluates the results in relation to the customer function requirements and the required functionality of the customer function.
- Receives the test reports (full function, full scenario, ...) and evaluates the results in relation to the customer function.

· Education
MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or Automobile or equivalent qualification.
Experience
More than 3 years of R&D experience with parking function, ADAS/Active Safety function development.
Specific knowledge
Customer mindset, thinking from customer perspective
Deep knowledge of Function Design/System Design/System Architecture.
Deep knowledge of Parking system related sensors, like ultrasonic sensors, surround view cameras, near range radar, etc. Knowing each sensor’s advantage and disadvantages, knowing the principle of sensor operation.
Good knowledge of Parking system perception, Parking system planning and control.
Good knowledge of Requirements Management/Engineering.
Has a cooperative mindset and good communication skills.
Strong ability to build-up and maintain relationships with other organizations & suppliers.
Fluent in English language, additional German helpful.
