The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, service excellence, and team engagement are consistently maintained throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
What you will do
Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
Supervise room attendants, public area attendants, housepersons, and laundry personnel.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, public areas, and service areas.
Monitor room readiness and coordinate closely with Front Office and Engineering teams.
Train, coach, and develop housekeeping staff to maintain luxury hospitality standards.
Assist with scheduling, payroll review, attendance monitoring, and labor cost control.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and service recovery situations professionally and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering housekeeping supplies and equipment.
Support departmental projects, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
Prepare operational reports and participate in management meetings.
What you bring
Minimum 2–4 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a luxury hotel or resort.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
