Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. About the role

Working from Vancouver, this Project Controls Analyst position will support the Red Chris Block Cave Project in northern British Columbia, providing cost control, change management and invoicing support. The role will require you to maintain close coordination with internal stakeholders as well as EPC(M) Contractor(s) and/or Owner led Contractor(s).

Your impact

In this role, you will contribute to project success by ensuring that project and financial data is complete, accurate, and processed on time. Your work will directly support cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational decision-making. Attention to detail and consistency is critical to success.

As part of our team

You will work closely within the Project Controls team while collaborating with the Project Accounting, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, supporting core processes across functions. This role operates within a team of experienced professionals, providing strong exposure and learning opportunities while requiring a proactive and dependable approach to day-to-day tasks. Candidate will be required to:

  • Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support cost control and budget tracking activities
  • Maintain and manage project data in SAP and related systems
  • Assist with Fieldglass processes and coordinate with GDC
  • Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and compliance with Newmont Guidance
  • Support reporting and tracking of project cost information
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative and financial processes
Requirements for success in this role
  • Basic Accounting, Finance or Project Controls background
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships
  • Five + years of experience working in fast-paced project environments
  • Cost control experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Financial systems and tools experience, particularly SAP is a must
  • Fieldglass experience a plus
Your work environment

Role will start in Newmont’s Vancouver office on a 5-day per week basis. The role may transition to the Red Chris site, a camp-based facility operating on 15 days on 13 days off rotation in far north British Columbia.

 The expected salary range for this role is CA$85,400 - 113,900 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
