Job Description
A. Instructional Development •Develop and maintain course documentation. •Manage course components, including assignment scheduling, proctoring, grade and attendance reporting, and monitoring student progress using Blackboard and publisher tools. •Prepare lectures, syllabi, and assessments. •Be organized and well prepared for class. •Schedule class time effectively. •Hold office hours as required. •Perform departmental assessments as required. •Follow departmental, divisional, and organizational policies and adapt to policy or procedural changes as needed. •Attend and complete required training and professional development sessions. B. Teaching Performance •Teach Theatre courses at various campuses and/or in high schools in Greenville County Schools. •Provide students with course syllabi, grading/attendance policies, and other relevant information in a timely manner. •Relate instructional materials, discussions, and other course activities to course objectives. •Develop and implement effective classroom strategies. •Use practical examples and illustrations in lecture material. •Pace the instruction over the term. •Assess student performance and provide timely, substantive feedback to support learning outcomes. •Demonstrate effective interaction skills. •Respond to feedback from students, peers, and supervisors to improve instruction. •Follow department and college grading policies.
