
Senior Planner, Production Planning
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the PO management process
- Proactively communicate with Brands, Regions, and Vendors to manage complex exceptions and order change requests
- Partner with Direct Line Manager to drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives/processes
- Lead Vendor Management activities, including performance optimization
- Drive Change Management & Process Improvement implementation across teams
Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position):
As a Senior Production Planner, you will own and drive the end-to-end execution of the PO management process, including PO creation, exception management, and overseeing complex order change requests. You will play a key role in ensuring a high-performing and sustainable Planning function by collaborating closely with Planning Teams, Brands, and Vendors to consistently meet delivery targets.
This role is responsible for providing advanced analytics and insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and influencing decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders.
To succeed, you will leverage strong stakeholder management, leadership, and analytical capabilities to drive data-informed decisions and ensure processes are aligned, standardized, and optimized across regions.
Key Result Areas:
- Own and optimize the execution of PO management process, including purchase order creation (where applicable) and change memo issuance aligned with business requirements
- Lead analysis of weekly exceptions and unconfirmed POs, ensuring proactive resolution and risk mitigation to protect CRD dates
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Global Material Supply, QA, and Vendors to ensure on-time delivery; escalate and resolve critical supply chain risks
- Partner with VF Logistics and Vendors to improve delivery performance and lead-time efficiency
- Drive and monitor factory KPI performance, ensuring vendor scorecards are accurate and used for performance improvement
- Lead and enhance factory audit activities (where applicable), ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
- Deliver advanced analytics and actionable insights, leveraging production tracking tools to provide visibility to Brands & Regions
- Oversee Factory Ledger management (where applicable), ensuring accuracy and timely financial reconciliation
- Act as a change leader and key influencer across Product Supply and Supply Chain organization by building strong relationships and aligning stakeholders with business objectives and strategic vision
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or PO management
- Proven experience in end-to-end PO management, exception handling, and complex order changes
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot, advanced formulas, data analysis/reporting)
- Demonstrated experience in vendor/factory management and cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, production cycles, and delivery optimization
- Proven ability to identify risks, drive solutions, and influence decision-making
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) required; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
- Experience in process improvement, project management, or leading initiatives is preferred
