Position: Commercial Energy Solutions Supervisor
Location: West Seneca, NY
Compensation: $27 - $32/hour, based on experience
 
Job Summary
The Commercial Energy Solutions Supervisor will oversee and guide the installation process on job sites while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. This role requires a proactive approach in managing job site activities, maintaining equipment, scheduling and supervising laborers, and providing excellent communication with both customers and the operations manager. The Field Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
 
What You Will Do:
  • Enforce Safety Protocols: Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed on every job site to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Guide and Direct Installations: Provide guidance and direction during the installation process, ensuring that all work is performed to specification and customer satisfaction.
  • Lifts and Dumpsters: Call off lifts and dumpsters promptly after installations are complete, ensuring proper waste management and site cleanup.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular tool and ladder inventories on all vans to ensure equipment is stocked, functional, and available for use.
  • Job Site Walkthroughs: Perform thorough job site walkthroughs before and after installations to identify potential issues, ensure site cleanliness, and confirm all work meets company standards.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain consistent communication with customers, providing daily updates on installation progress, addressing any concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Communication: Communicate daily with the Commercial Energy Solutions Foreman regarding job site progress, any challenges faced, and any necessary adjustments to the installation schedule.
  • Worksite Cleanliness: Ensure that worksites are left clean and organized after each installation, maintaining a professional and tidy environment.
  • Problem Resolution: Be available to handle any issues that arise on the job site and work to resolve them efficiently and safely to keep the installation process moving forward.
  • Report Equipment Issues: Report any issues with equipment, including any malfunctions or concerns with tools, ladders, or other materials used during the installation process.
  • Laborer Scheduling and Supervision: Schedule and manage laborers for each installation job, ensuring adequate staffing levels, assigning tasks, and tracking labor hours to ensure efficiency and timely project completion.
  • Direct Reporting: Report directly to the Operations Manager, providing updates on daily activities, site conditions, and any problems that need addressing.

What You Will Need:
  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting electrical systems, especially lighting.
  • Experience with scheduling and managing laborers, as well as monitoring labor hours.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work on location without any direct supervision.
  • Must possess great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times and take the initiative to get the job done.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods throughout the retail space.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at times
