Are you ready to contribute to meaningful policy work that supports government and agency priorities? We're looking for a motivated Policy Officer to help shape and deliver initiatives that make a real impact.
About the role
As Policy Officer, you’ll research and analyse policy issues, prepare advice and documentation, and support the development of practical, evidence-based solutions. You’ll contribute to the delivery of policy initiatives through project support and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll coordinate working groups and consultations, monitor policy outcomes, and ensure alignment with strategic directions. Your work will help inform decision-making and support the achievement of policy objectives.
About You
As a part of the Policy Review and Implementation team, you will have the opportunity to work on broad sweeping, whole of government reform that will have a meaningful impact on disaster impacted communities within NSW.
You have experience in policy development and analysis, with strong research and writing skills. Finance experience is also desirable, but not essential. You are confident managing your workload independently and making decisions within your scope of responsibility.
You are a clear communicator and collaborator, able to engage diverse stakeholders and contribute to effective policy outcomes. Your attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality advice make you a valuable part of any policy team.
Essential Requirements
Must be a current NSW Government Public Sector employee.
Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
