HR Advisor - Strategy Planning & Analytics

 

Location – Parramatta

Employment type – Temporary full-time role for 12 months

Salary - $113,574.00 - $125,719.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading

 

 

Your role

 

As an HR Advisor within the Strategy, Planning & Analytics team, you will play a key role in delivering workforce insights and supporting strategic decision-making across the Department. You will coordinate and contribute to workforce analysis, support the development of workforce strategies, and help improve HR systems and processes using evidence-based approaches. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working with data, influencing outcomes, and contributing to meaningful organisational improvements aligned with the broader DCJ and People Strategic Plans.

 

What you’ll do

 

In this role, you will provide high-quality workforce analysis and insights to internal and external stakeholders to support workforce planning and operational decision-making. You will contribute to the development and refinement of workforce strategies, helping to improve efficiency and performance across the Department. Day-to-day, you will work closely with stakeholders to analyse workforce data, support the use of Human Capital Management systems, and provide evidence-based advice to senior leaders. Your work will help inform both current operations and future business decisions.

 

The Strategy, Planning & Analytics team is a collaborative and forward-thinking group that combines strategic planning with data-driven insights. The team plays a critical role in aligning workforce initiatives with organisational goals, driving performance, and enabling informed decision-making. You will be part of a supportive and analytical environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and the effective use of data to achieve long-term outcomes.

 

What we’re looking for

 

In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate will:

 

  • Be motivated and detail-oriented professional with a minimum two years’ experience in a data analyst or similar role.
  • Bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and manage complex datasets.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to collaborate effectively across teams and present insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • Have high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach will be essential to your success in this role.
