SAP Sales is directly responsible for achieving financial targets (e.g. order intake/revenue) through contract closures and sales pipeline development, planning and executing marketing activities, partnering with sales partners, and sourcing consultants.

Your Responsibilities
As a “Senior Sales Expert SAP Sales (m/f/d),” you will support our SAP solutions and services through sales activities including lead generation, support of marketing activities, conversion of leads into opportunities, proposal preparation, and contract closure with both new and existing customers. You will be assigned to a specific group of national customers, while also opportunistically supporting multi-/international customers, in order to develop sales and market segments and unlock market potential through sales-driven initiatives.
The role complements Account Management and ensures that target objectives are implemented appropriately through standardized delivery models. You will have sales responsibility for a defined customer or solution area within the T-Systems SAP portfolio.
Further responsibilities include:
• Active management of SAP sales projects within the respective customer segment to position high-quality and successful offerings in the market.
• Identifying new customer leads and creating opportunities in collaboration with Account Management.
• Supporting trade fairs and exhibitions as a subject matter expert to identify future business and growth potential.
• Ensuring competitive proposals based on customer requirements and leading or supporting contract negotiations.
• Delivering customer presentations and product demos covering the SAP solution and service portfolio of T-Systems for existing and prospective customers, both nationally and internationally.
• Coordinating all resources required for successful deal closure within interdisciplinary sales teams.
• Developing accounts further by analyzing “white spots” and increasing value in both existing and new customer business.
• Supporting the development and execution of sales campaigns focused on profitable growth within defined areas.
• Analyzing customer and market potential and defining “go-to-market” strategies with a focus on consistent and sustainable execution.
Your Profile
In addition to a university degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or a comparable qualification, you have at least 6 years of professional experience in SAP consulting or sales with a proven track record of success.
You possess excellent sales capabilities with a focus on SAP services and products involving complex customer requirements or standardized solutions, with a strong emphasis on “new business hunting” to acquire new customers or expand services for existing customers. You are able to perform effectively even under high time pressure.
Additional qualifications:
• Very good knowledge of IT fundamentals and SAP solutions, products, and strategy, combined with strong sales and professional expertise in typical business applications and industry processes.
• Experience with at least one hyperscaler (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and its SAP-specific characteristics, including the ability to advise customers on business advantages, especially in connection with microservices/applications and customer or industry use cases within the respective hyperscaler ecosystem.
• Knowledge of industry-specific business processes in Automotive/Manufacturing or Public sector environments is an advantage and complements your profile.
• Strong acquisition skills combined with self-motivation and the use of modern methods, especially social selling.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel as part of project work.
• Team player mentality, while also being capable of working independently within virtual teams across geographically distributed organizations.
• Experience in building and expanding strategic relationships with customers and partners.
• Ability to quickly grasp new ideas, analyze problems, and derive solutions.
• Experience working with international, interdisciplinary teams and enjoyment of cultural diversity and different behavioral patterns.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
