ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
- General building repairs (i.e. repair/replace ceiling titles; patch minor wall damage; paint)
- Maintains grounds such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.
- Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies.
- Performs entry level carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance and repairs.
- Entry level operations of Central Plant Equipment, Fire, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Systems.
- Entry level wet and dry fire system operation including fire response protocols.
- Ensures that work is in conformance with blueprints, specifications and standards.
- Estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Follows safety regulations.
- Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists contractor in solving work problems.
- Entry level understanding and implement all department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prioritize and completes general repairs work orders that are received.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Maintain department skills for entry level qualifications via on the job training and self-study.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in building maintenance or specific related trade required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license
