Position Summary:

Your responsibilities include providing a world-class wellness experience through various massages and body treatments. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, expert knowledge of human anatomy, and the ability to customize treatments to meet the specific health and relaxation goals of each individual. The ideal candidate creates a tranquil environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hospitality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
- Greet members and their guests in a friendly and professional manner, and ensure the individual feels comfortable and informed throughout the treatment.
- Conduct brief interviews to understand physical concerns, medical history and desired outcomes for each session.
- Perform a variety of massage modalities (Swedish, Deep Tissue, etc.) with technical precision and care.
- Incorporate aromatherapy, high-quality oils, and lotions effectively to enhance the therapeutic experience.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment stocked with fresh linens and set up according to established Houston Oaks standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper disinfection of tools and surfaces between every appointment.
- Manage the schedule and adhere to bookings ensuring sessions begin and end on time, providing a seamless transition for the next person.
- Maintain absolute discretion regarding personal health information and conversations held during treatments.
- Billing and handling invoices. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of treatments provided and any specific preferences or contraindications noted.
- Assist with product inventory and with ordering.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid and current state massage therapy license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills which foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a high-end spa, luxury resort or private club environment is preferred.
- Deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the contraindications for various massage treatments.
Working Conditions:
- You will be working in a spa environment, which involves standing for extended periods of time.
- You may be exposed to chemicals and fragrances used in beauty treatments.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Sufficient strength and steady hands to perform repetitive massage movements for 60–90-minute sessions.
- Ability to stand and move for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Abilit to lift up to 3.0 lbs. (linens, massage tables, or supplies) and move equipment as needed.
