Job Description
Your responsibilities will include watching over members’ children and creating a constructive, fun experience for the child while parents are enjoying other aspects of the club, all aimed at fostering connections and ensuring our team thrives together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
- Greet members and their guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure maximum member and employee interaction.
- Actively promote Acorn Club events, camps, tournaments, and other recreational events to maximize member utilization of all available programs.
- Operate and oversee all youth programming.
- Oversee and plan youth summer camps.
- Schedule and promote recreational activities weekly.
- Work with the events team to help execute planned events.
- Monitor and record use of facilities and activities for reference and planning purposes.
- Recruit, hire, train and manage recreation staff to include activity leaders, life guards, and child watching.
- Regularly communicate to recreation staff all pertinent information including policies, procedures and guidelines, safety topics, etc.
- Ensure that the entire facility is proactively maintained through both the maintenance and housekeeping departments.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are timely, complete, and processed according to policy.
- Responsible expense control measures to achieve budget goals.
- Assist in the creation of all collateral for promotion of children’s activities.
- Promote all activities to membership through word of mouth, newsletters and e-blasts. Solicit feedback and suggestions on new programming.
- Write yearly acorn program developing new and fresh ideas to grow the program and create memories.
- Purchase, storage, and manage all equipment and supplies for programs in the department.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be CPR and AED certified prior to first day of employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.

Working Conditions:
- You will be working outdoor activities which could lead to extremes in temperature, humidity and precipitation.
- Flexible working hours include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled needed.
- You may experience variable noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, stooping, bending and twisting for most of the workday.
- Occasionally lifting to 40-60 lbs.
