About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.
As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. Your impact
You will play a critical role in keeping underground mobile equipment safe, reliable, and production-ready. Your welding expertise directly supports continuous operations, minimizes downtime, and reinforces a strong safety culture across the site.
As part of our team you will
- Perform layout, fitting, cutting, welding, and fabrication on mobile assets
- Inspect and repair structural components on underground equipment
- Follow site safety standards, OH&S regulations, and safe work practices
- Support troubleshooting of equipment issues related to structural integrity
- Collaborate with technicians, operators, and planners to maintain fleet readiness
- Mentor apprentices and contribute to team development
- Work across shifts and conditions in a safety-first environment
Prerequisites for your success in this role
- Red Seal Welder certification
- Proven underground mining experience
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Experience with mobile mining equipment (e.g., drills, trucks, scoops)
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work rotational shifts at a remote site
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

The expected hourly rate for this role is CA$63.35. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
