Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Develop and implement coating, painting, insulation, and Passive Fire Protection (PFP) systems for FPSO/FSO newbuild, conversion, and life extension projects Provide technical expertise and support to project teams on corrosion protection, thermal insulation, and fire protection strategies Ensure selection of suitable coating and protective materials, considering marine environments, process conditions, and operational life requirements Deliver technical input during Bid, Feasibility, and FEED phases, aiding in concept selection, system design, and cost optimisation Prepare and issue project-specific specifications for surface preparation, coatings, insulation, and PFP systems Develop key engineering deliverables, such as paint condition reports, scope definitions, material take-offs, and supplier RFQ documentation Act as the focal point for all coating, painting, insulation, and PFP issues during the execution phase of projects Oversee quality management and assurance of coating works to ensure compliance with project and industry standards Lead and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of coating and insulation works Support audits, inspections, and reviews, ensuring that all coating activities meet regulatory, company, and client requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with relevant coursework in Coating Technology and Corrosion NACE CIP Level 3 / FROSIO Level 3 Inspector certification More than 10 years of relevant experience within the Shipping or Offshore Oil and Gas industry Experience in delivering at least three FPSO/FSO project. Skills: Strong team player with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multinational teams Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently using a structured and systematic approach Proven ability to deliver high-quality work on time in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments Skilled in planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks efficiently Adaptable and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments Understand the various engineering disciplines and their interaction with corrosion protection and insulation processes Knowledge of Marine, Petro-Chemical and Offshore protective coating industry Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion BW Offshore is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all.
