Position overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented, and analytical IT Asset Lead to join our global IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of IT assets - hardware, software, and digital - to ensure visibility, compliance, cost control, and data accuracy across the organization. This role requires strong organizational skills, cross‑functional collaboration, technical understanding of ITAM/ITSM practices, and a structured, process‑driven approach. The IT Asset Lead plays a key role in supporting risk management, operational decision‑making, and audit readiness within a fast‑paced, global environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets from requisition to end‑of‑life disposal.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date asset records in CMDB and asset registers.
- Implement and monitor controls ensuring data integrity across systems.
- Manage software entitlements, compliance, and true‑up cycles.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reports for audits and internal reviews.
- Address audit findings and apply corrective actions to reduce risks.
- Define and enforce standards for tagging, discovery, and inventory management.
- Utilize automation tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in tracking.
- Manage vendor relationships regarding warranties, renewals, and refresh cycles.
- Support procurement and contract‑related activities.
- Collaborate with Security teams on asset‑related risks and remediation.
Provide asset data for incident response and investigations.
Required skills and experience
- 2–4+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or IT operations.
- ITIL Foundation or ITAM/IAITAM/ISO 19770 certifications are an advantage.
- Experience with CMDB maintenance, asset discovery tools, and software license reporting.
- Proven work supporting audits, license reconciliations, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Proficiency with ITAM/CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow (ITAM/SAM Pro).
- Strong understanding of procurement workflows, licensing models, and asset inventory control.
- Advanced Excel or BI tool skills for reconciliation and dashboard creation.
- Effective communication with IT, Security, Procurement, and Finance teams.
- Ability to detect and resolve data quality issues and identify cost‑avoidance opportunities.
- Strong analytical mindset for managing refresh cycles and end‑of‑life planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Information Systems, or similar.
