Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning of floors, carpets, furniture, walls, windows and other areas as assigned.
- Waste collection.
- Maintenance of carpet and resilient flooring.
- Employ effective and efficient methods to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Set‑up and arrange furnishings and equipment.
- Safe, economic use of cleaning materials.
- Assist client departments in preparing for special events.
- Conduct maintenance deficiency inspections.
- Undertake minor building repairs and equipment repairs (buffers, burnishes, shampooers, extractors, vacuums and scrubbers).
- Move office furniture as required.
- Efficiently use all types of caretaking equipment including buffers, strippers, sweepers and floor machines; use personal lifting devices for changing lights, banners etc.
- Respond to on‑site emergencies appropriately, (vandalism, fire alarms, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
