The candidate is expected to contribute to all aspects of the research, including software, hardware, experimental, and analysis components. The candidate is expected to publish technical results in academic journals, and present results at conferences. The candidate is expected to contribute to a positive group dynamic, offering constructive feedback, encouragement, and a strong willingness to help advance the progress of the entire group. The candidate is expected to help mentor one or more graduate students in planning and conducting academic research.
