Instructional Designer I (Multiple Positions)

Plans, organizes and refines curricula, materials, and programs to meet the course learning objectives for both student sections and the preceptor and TA training sections. Analyzes the learning needs of the laboratory class and the learning assistants and learns greater depth of knowledge to help TAs navigate course content and delivery. Helps the current teaching team with details of content delivery, lab management, and section timing. Works to ensure that course materials, content, protocols, reagents, and the learning management system are current and relevant. Plans and coordinates TA skill assessments and trainings, as well as preceptor activities to help facilitate content delivery in lab classrooms. Also works to analyze and revise laboratory assignments and quizzes. Teaches several sections, help with the preparation of laboratory materials, and provides backup teaching support.
