Roswell Park is seeking a Revenue Cycle Data Integration Specialist to support the data behind critical financial and operational decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will work with revenue cycle, finance, and IT teams to ensure data from billing, claims, coding, and vendor systems is accurate, reliable, and ready for reporting and analytics.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex data, and improving processes that help teams operate more effectively.
The starting annual salary for this position is $91,298 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You’ll Do:
Support the extraction, transformation, and loading of revenue cycle data into SQL-based enterprise data warehouse and Microsoft Fabric environments
Maintain and improve ETL workflows and data integrations from vendor systems
Validate and reconcile claims, billing, and financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency
Investigate and resolve data quality issues and anomalies
Support operational reporting and Power BI dashboards related to revenue cycle performance metrics
Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, operational, and IT teams to support reporting and analytics needs
Document data structures, processes, and workflows to support ongoing operations
What You’ll Bring:
Experience working with healthcare revenue cycle data, including claims, billing, denials, or coding workflows
Strong SQL skills and experience working in enterprise data warehouse environments
Experience supporting ETL processes and data integration workflows
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including pipelines, dataflows, warehouses, or lakehouses preferred
Exposure to Power BI and reporting support
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams
Experience with Python- or PHP-based ETL processes is a plus

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience1. Master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time software development experience; or
3. Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time software development experience; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time software development experience.
NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting healthcare revenue cycle data analytics across the claims, billing, and denials lifecycle, with an emphasis on preparing reliable, analytics‑ready datasets. Familiarity with revenue cycle workflows, HFMA key performance indicators, payer denials and claim edits is preferred. Strong proficiency with SQL-based enterprise data warehouses is essential. The candidate must be comfortable writing, optimizing, and maintaining moderately complex SQL queries to support data integration, validation, and downstream consumption. This includes working with large datasets, applying transformational business logic, reconciling data against source applications, and investigating data anomalies or data quality issues. The position emphasizes data integration and ETL support. Preferred candidates have experience extracting data from vendor systems and supporting transformation and load processes for enterprise analytics. Familiarity with PHP or Python-based ETL processes is beneficial for maintaining existing jobs. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric is strongly preferred, including working with data pipelines, dataflows, lakehouses, and warehouses. A solid understanding of ETL concepts such as incremental loading, dependency management, refresh orchestration, and error handling is expected. Power BI experience is preferred, but secondary to data engineering skills with a focus is on enabling accurate and trusted reporting rather than advanced visualization. Candidates should be able to work with existing semantic models, develop or update DAX measures, and update operational dashboards used by business teams. The successful candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to handle multiple requests concurrently. Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with finance, revenue cycle, and IT partners in a healthcare environment are essential.
