THE POSITION

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 (FWWC2027) will take place in June and July 2027, across eight stadiums inReporting to the Senior Catering Manager, the Catering Manager is responsible for the efficient organization of catering operations for FWWC2027 and all competition-related events. This includes catering services at competition and non-competition venues for multiple client groups, such as workforce, media, broadcast, teams, match officials, ceremonies, and youth programmes, in close collaboration with all stakeholders.

The Catering Manager will be a key member of the Strategy & Planning team and will work in close collaboration with the FIFA Zurich project team and other key individuals responsible for delivering catering efforts for the FWWC2027. This role is responsible for planning and executing all catering operations, ensuring top-quality services throughout the tournament. Further, this role will oversee the quality assurance of all catering operations for the workforce and volunteers, youth programmes, teams, officials, and broadcast and media dining experiences.

The Catering Manager must work with the Senior Catering Manager to ensure that all key deliverables related to catering services within venues—including sustainability, hygiene, kitchen equipment, space allocation, and venue operations—are met. The role ensures the consistency of in-venue catering across the tournament, maintaining agreed-upon quality standards at all venues.

Additionally, the Catering Manager will support the development of procedures and the establishment of guidelines for the provision of services by catering companies and other areas of FWWC2027, as well as the measures required for their operation.

This position requires the effective and efficient management of catering operations, seamless coordination with FIFA’s functional areas, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Key areas of focus include transparency, communication, problem-solving, innovation, issue escalation, and the use of reporting tools to guarantee operational excellence.

  • Assist with catering planning and operations for multiple client groups during the FWWC and its competition-related events 
  • Develop and coordinate catering service concepts aligned with client expectations and service levels. 
  • Assist with the preparation of technical specifications for catering requirements, equipment, and spaces to provide the required service at competition and no competition venues 
  • To assist in the assessment of operational spaces and workflows of catering spaces and kitchen equipment at each venue and assign them per FIFA requirements. 
  • Work closely with appointed venue caterers, FIFA functional areas, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality catering services 
  • Work to ensure that the catering company meets the agreed KPIs and ensure menu options are tested and meet quality standards for all user groups. 
  • Oversee food safety and quality assurance of catering operations across all venues. 
  • Integrate catering operational plans into overall venue plans. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks across venues. 



YOUR PROFILE


Education
 
  • University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education). 
  • Bilingual - Brazilian Portuguese and English 
  • Strong administrative and IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
Experience 
  • Minimum of 6 years delivering catering services at international sporting events. 
  • Proven strong record of experience in execution catering services for complex events involving multiple venues, stakeholders and authorities. 
  • knowledge of local food and beverage regulations, including food safety standards applicable to sporting events. 
  • Knowledge of event planning and event project management processes. 
  • Excellent customer service experience, with references for excellence. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent communication and crisis management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and provide decisive leadership. 
  • Familiarity with the host stadium and its operational environment will be considered an asset  
  • Flexibility when faced with ambiguity or constant change 
  • Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
