The position will be responsible for managing end-to-end channel commission and payment operations, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payout of incentives, commissions, rebates and trade-related payments. The role will drive process excellence, governance, system controls, stakeholder management and continuous improvement to enhance distributor and retailer experience while minimizing financial and operational risks.

  • Manage end-to-end commission and incentive calculation for distributors, retailers, sales teams and other channel partners.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all commission and incentive payments.

  • Validate commission schemes and translate business rules into system configurations and payout logic.

  • Monitor commission expenses against budgets and approved frameworks.

  • Conduct periodic reviews to identify payout anomalies, leakages and optimization opportunities.

  • Ensure payment processing complies with company policies, financial controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with Finance, Technology, Commercial and external partners to resolve payment-related issues.

  • Manage escalations related to payment disputes and settlement issues.

  • Establish and maintain strong controls to ensure payment accuracy and fraud prevention.

  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support internal and external audits.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, control frameworks and process documentation.

  • Lead automation and digitalization initiatives to improve payment and commission processes.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes while maintaining governance standards.

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment on policy, process and payment timelines.

Academic Qualification

  • Graduate (Bachelor’s degree) from a reputed university, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related discipline

  • MBA or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage

Job Experience Required

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Channel Operations, Sales Commission, Distribution Operations, Commercial Finance or related areas

  • Telecom commission/incentive management, SOX/audit handling and process automation experience is preferred

Required Capabilities

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel and MS Access

  • Detailed knowledge of commission and incentive modalities, guidelines and approval workflows

  • Comprehensive understanding of distribution operations and market price, practice and trend

  • Comprehensive knowledge of cross-functional processes and internal guidelines across Sales, Finance, IT, HR and Audit

  • Working knowledge of financial terms and their application in a commercial setting

  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills with flexibility towards a changing environment
