  • Develop and lead the organization's government and regulatory affairs strategy to influence policy, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and create a sustainable business environment.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with senior government officials, regulators, policymakers, law enforcement agencies, industry associations, media, and other key external stakeholders to advance corporate priorities.

  • Lead regulatory advocacy by monitoring emerging policy trends, preparing strategic position papers, and representing the organization in high-level consultations and industry forums.

  • Drive government engagement strategies that anticipate regulatory developments and support long-term business growth, digital transformation, industry competitiveness, and the organization's corporate reputation.

  • Lead the organization's corporate communications initiatives by ensuring consistent, timely, and effective internal and external communications that strengthen stakeholder trust and protect the corporate reputation.

  • Lead the organization's ESG initiatives by promoting sustainable business practices, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability objectives.

  • Establish trusted relationships with key national stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration on regulatory, business, public policy, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Lead crisis management and government coordination during business-critical incidents, ensuring rapid response, effective stakeholder communication, regulatory compliance, and continuity of operations.

  • Oversee all interactions with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), ensuring timely support, strict confidentiality of customer information, and full compliance with legal and licensing obligations.

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on regulatory, political, industry, reputational, and ESG developments to enable informed business decisions and proactive risk management.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Legal, Technology, Corporate Affairs, Compliance, and other business functions to align government relations, communications, and ESG initiatives with organizational objectives.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Government Relations team while promoting a culture of integrity, stakeholder excellence, continuous learning, and organizational leadership.

Academic Qualification

  • MBA from reputed university

Job Experience Required

  • Min 15 to 20 years of experience with at least 10 years relevant experience

Required Capabilities

  • Advance knowledge of regulatory policies and guideline

  • Advance knowledge of governments policies, 5-year development plan and revenue planning

  • Advance understanding of socio-economic changes

  • Advance understanding to forecast environmental knowledge 

  • Advance knowledge on global best practices, technology evolution and ITU & GSMA studies, advocacy & developments

  • Advance knowledge of the complete value chain of telecom business

  • Sound knowledge of Financial analysis and subsequent understanding of the results
