
Principal Electrical Test Engineer - Power Modules and Power Discretes
Job Description
About the role
We are looking for a Test Engineer to support the development of our wide bandgap power semiconductor products, In this role, you will define and deliver test and characterisation strategies, ensuring products meet performance, quality, and reliability targets from development through to production.
What you will do
Define and execute final test and characterisation plans
Support prototype validation and transfer to manufacturing
Analyse test data and optimise limits and methodologies
Perform device characterisation (electrical, thermal, dynamic)
Contribute to product development and failure analysis
Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Operations teams
Drive continuous improvement in testing and data analysis
What you will bring
Knowledge of power semiconductors (Si, SiC, GaN)
Experience with test systems and lab measurements
Understanding of device characterisation and data analysis
Background in power electronics (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Collaborative and team-oriented
Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset
Good communication skills
Your profile
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
5+ years’ experience in testing or characterisation
Experience with power devices or wide bandgap technologies is a plus
