Job Description

Medlog is seeking an experienced Sales Officer with 5+ years of experience in the freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in client relationship management, with a focus on Freight Forwarding Companies (FFWs) and shipping companies. The Sales Officer will be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, ensuring clients are aware of Medlog's services, and actively driving their engagement to meet and exceed business targets. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in freight forwarding companies and shipping firms. Serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients and ensure their needs are consistently met. Sales Strategy Execution: Drive sales and business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the shipping and freight forwarding sectors. Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets. Target-Oriented Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their specific business needs and goals. Ensure clients are well informed about Medlog's solutions, services, and how they can benefit from them. Actively track and support clients in achieving their KPIs and targets related to shipping and freight forwarding activities. Client Education and Support: Provide clients with detailed information on Medlog’s services, processes, and value proposition. Assist clients in optimizing their logistics and shipping operations through tailored solutions. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Regularly report on sales activities, client feedback, and performance against targets. Prepare sales forecasts and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline. Market and Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, challenges, and opportunities in the freight forwarding and shipping sectors. Share market insights with clients to help them remain competitive and informed. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients. Provide feedback to the product and services teams based on client needs and market demands. Problem Resolution: Handle any client concerns, challenges, or issues promptly, working with relevant teams to find timely solutions. Proactively address potential obstacles to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
