Job Description
Job Purpose: The AMS Documentation Employee is responsible for ensuring customs declarations comply with the Advanced Manifest System (AMS) Regulations for MSC inbound cargo to the European Union, the People’s Republic of China, the Panama Canal, United Kingdom, India, United States, Canada and Mexico. The goal is to minimize delays and avoid Customs Fines and disciplinary actions. Key Responsibilities: Daily distribution of worldwide manifest deadlines in line with AMS Regulations. Performance of AMS Declarations to respective Customs Offices Following-up of vessel routings, prospects (ETA/ETL/ETD), assisting syncing of system data and update of AMS deadlines whenever necessary Treating vessel rotation changes in line with system requirements and Customs regulations Liaising with worldwide agency network, provision of guidance and assistance on uploading of BL manifests Working Hours: Employees work 5 days a week, which may include Saturday or Sunday as part of a rolling shift schedule. Shifts of a rolling schedule could be: 07:00-15:00, 15:00-23:00, 23:00-07:00 or 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00, 18:00-02:00. All shifts are performed onsite apart from the 23:00-07:00 and 18:00-02:00 shifts which are performed remotely.
