TiL’s network of container terminals operates as independent terminal companies, with board level management, technical planning and investment decisions at TiL’s headquarters in Geneva. The existing terminals, and those that will be added to the portfolio in the coming years, have a wide variety of technologies and systems. While some systems are necessarily and appropriately unique to each terminal, TiL intends to standardise systems and technologies, and centralise those terminal functions where it is reasonable and sensible to do so. Our objective in making this transition is to improve efficiency in the supply chain, within the terminals as well as at the interfaces between the terminals, the shipping lines, and land transportation network. We envision centralising some of the terminal operating systems functionality and significantly improving (intensifying) the interface with our major shareholder, MSC. About the job We are currently seeking a Director of Technology to join our growing team based in Geneva, Switzerland. You will be responsible to contribute to the successful development and implementation of Technology related projects that support TiL’s portfolio of terminals and projects; this includes Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Communications Technology (Comms) in support of business development activities, terminal projects under (re)development and single-disciplinary projects in existing terminals. Your responsibilities will include • Develop and execute an effective Technology strategy that supports TiL’s global network of terminals, • Definition of a Technology blueprint for (greenfield) projects, • Implement system architectures that can accommodate disparate systems and interfaces, and allow for future growth and change, while ensuring systems’ security and reliability, • Coordinate and negotiate with TiL’s partners to ensure Technology best practices are implemented consistently across the terminal portfolio, • Contribute to the annual Technology budget cycle for Headquarter and Terminals, including selection of strategic Technology investments, and their procurement, • Contribute and follow-up on the implementation of major Technology projects in Projects and Terminals, • Support Projects and Terminals in their development of policies and practices for Technology related matters, to achieve the objectives set by the Terminal’s Board, • Executive oversight of Cyber Security program, • Establish and enforce Cyber Security standards across the portfolio of terminals, and monitor compliance, • Maintain optimised IT programs and policies, not limited to Disaster Recovery Program, Cyber Security, Business Process Management, • Reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee in a recurring format,
