PRIMARY PURPOSE:
A Technology Intern is a student employee that assists the Technology Team provide quality Technology
support under the direct supervision of the Technology Director. Student Interns are exposed to
technologies and tasks that prepare their technology skills and work habits for future IT careers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist the Technology Team to deliver technology support.
Assist with the deployment of new equipment.
Assist with software installs.
Assist in collecting information for the equipment inventory.
Assist in technology cleanup/surplus
Any other duty as assigned

GOALS OF THE INTERNSHIP:
Learn some of the many facets of Information Services and Technology
Hands on learning experience in the technology arena
Learn how to work with different types of personalities
Develop leadership skills and become role models for other students

EQUIPMENT USED:
Equipment will include but not limited to the following, pallet jacks (electric and manual) 10-key
adding machine, computer, ladder, dolly and hand carts.

Mental Demands:
Must be able to effectively communication skills and have the ability to operate computer.
Possess mental and emotional maturity to work with or without supervision.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
The physical/environmental demands/factors described here are representative of those that must be
met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job which include
continuous walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching with hands and
arms, work on ladders. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
