Pay: HK$39,485 - HK$87,341 (HGPS point 16 to 33) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9-year contract period subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psycho-social assessment and intervention.
Process pre-admission and discharge planning.
Render multi-disciplinary patient service.
Render counselling service for needy patients and their families.
Plan and run patient groups and run mass programs for patients’ well-being.
Conduct and participate in activities related to continuous quality improvement and service evaluation.
Any job-related duties assigned by senior.
Entry Requirements:
1. (a) A degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent.
OR
(b) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a one-year post-graduate course in Social Work at a local university, or equivalent.
OR
(c) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a two-year post-graduate course in Social Work or possess a Master's degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent.
2. Registration with and a valid registration certificate issued by the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board.
3. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.
Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. (a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.
OR
(b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent.
2. Proficient in interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Strong drive to help (and utilize various social work approaches in patient care).
4. Social work therapy skills.
5. Empathy.
6. Commitment to patient care.
7. Leadership.
