DealMaker is a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing the capital markets ecosystem with a mission to make online capital raising mainstream. We empower founders, CEOs, and operators to raise capital digitally, both from their own communities and through strategically marketed campaigns. No other platform provides an end-to-end solution like ours—and our track record speaks for itself, with over $2B raised across 1,000+ campaigns. We power the largest online capital raises for customers like EnergyX ($88M), Green Bay Packers ($65M), Miso Robotics ($72M+), Monogram Orthopaedics (Nasdaq:MGRM) and many others, with 3 IPOs in the past year alone. We are quickly expanding our horizons and are seeking talented team members to join us on our journey to transform the global capital market.
Who You Are
You are a senior creative editor who understands that a great paid social video has a job to do. It needs to earn attention quickly, create belief, communicate value clearly, and drive the viewer toward action.
You are highly comfortable working in fast-moving environments where the brief may be incomplete, the footage may be imperfect, and the timeline may be tight. You can find the strongest story inside messy raw material, make smart decisions independently, and know when to ask the right questions.
You understand how creative decisions influence performance outcomes. You care about craft, but you also care about speed, testing, repeatability, and measurable performance. You understand that in paid social, creative output improves through iteration, variation, and learning from results.
You are obsessed with AI. You are already using AI tools in your creative workflow and constantly testing emerging capabilities, while forming thoughtful opinions about what is useful and what is overhyped. You do not wait for someone else to tell you which tools matter. You explore, evaluate, document, and share what works.
You collaborate well across creative teams, communicate feedback clearly, and contribute to a high standard of creative quality.
What you’ll do
As our Senior Video Editor, Paid Social, you will create direct-response video ads that help founders and companies communicate their investment opportunities to retail investors.
You will transform raw interviews, founder footage, client-provided assets, AI-generated b-roll, stock footage, motion graphics, captions, music, and performance data into polished video ads optimized for platforms like Meta, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other paid channels.
You will also be encouraged to experiment with emerging AI tools that improve creative workflows and production efficiency.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Own complex, high-impact video projects from brief through final delivery
Edit short-form, direct-response video ads optimized for strong retention, emotional clarity, & investor trust, with scroll-stopping hooks and clear calls to action.
Create multiple ad variations that test different hooks, structures, visual treatments, pacing, proof points, and CTAs.
Adapt creative for different platforms, placements, formats, and audience stages.
Actively use AI tools to accelerate and improve video production workflows.
Test emerging AI tools for editing, b-roll generation, style matching, motion support, captioning, versioning, creative ideation, asset organization, and workflow automation.
Collaborate with Creative Strategists, Copywriters, Designers, and Paid Media partners to align edits with campaign goals, messaging direction, and audience needs.
Use campaign performance feedback to refine future edits and creative approaches.
Provide guidance, feedback, and creative support to less experienced editors when needed.
Contribute to a culture of high standards, direct feedback, creative curiosity, and continuous improvement.
What Skills You Need
5+ years of professional video editing experience, with meaningful experience in paid social, performance marketing, direct-response advertising, or conversion-focused creative.
Active experience using AI tools in a creative production workflow + strong curiosity about emerging AI video, image, audio, editing, and automation tools.
Proven ability to craft short-form videos that drive measurable results, not just engagement.
Expertise with Adobe Premiere Pro + Adobe After Effects.
Ability to work fast, test often, and learn from outcomes.
Project management & organizational skills required to handle a high-volume of requests
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, you give and receive feedback clearly and directly.
