Southern Health Partners is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Medical Assistant to join our night shift team at the Madison County Detention Center in Alabama. Job Description

As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you’ll support nursing staff and providers in delivering patient care within a secure correctional healthcare environment. Your role will help keep operations running smoothly while ensuring patients receive professional and compassionate care.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with intake screenings and patient assessments
• Obtaining vital signs and medical histories
• Preparing patients for examinations and treatments
• Supporting medication pass and treatment procedures
• Maintaining accurate medical documentation
• Scheduling and coordinating healthcare services
• Assisting with inventory and medical supplies
• Responding professionally in urgent situations alongside the medical team

This role offers a unique blend of clinical experience, patient interaction, and teamwork in a setting where no two shifts feel exactly alike.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification 
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment
• Prior correctional, urgent care, family practice, or emergency medicine experience is a plus, but not required
