We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable LPN or RN to join our team at the Newberry County Jail on a part-time schedule working every other weekend from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Perfect for nurses seeking supplemental income, a lighter schedule, or a meaningful role that still leaves most of the day wide open.
In correctional healthcare, your skills matter differently. You become a calm voice, a trusted presence, and a steady hand in moments where patients often need it most.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver patient-focused nursing care in a secure correctional setting
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Assess inmate health concerns and respond appropriately
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team
- Help create a safe, respectful, and professional care environment
Qualifications
- Active South Carolina LPN or RN license required
- LPN candidates must have a minimum of one year of licensed practical nursing experience before being considered for this position
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a structured environment
