Overview
The Collection Agent is responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring effective recovery of outstanding payments. This role requires proactive communication with customers, problem-solving skills, and close cooperation with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact customers via phone and email to resolve overdue payments
- Motivate customers to meet their repayment obligations and negotiate appropriate payment solutions.
- Investigate reasons for delayed payments and provide tailored solutions to address customer-specific situations
- Monitor and manage agreed payment arrangements to ensure compliance and timely resolution
- Conduct skip tracing activities to locate customers and maintain up-to-date debtor information
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities within company systems
- Collaborate with external debt collection agencies (DCAs) and support related queries and case handling
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing customer-centric solutions to enhance satisfaction and optimize products and processes
- Consistently meet or exceed defined collection targets and KPIs
