Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures
The Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF) is seeking an inspirational and energetic candidate for the position of Lecturer I, to support its expanding scope of learning and teaching initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who wish to contribute to dedicated teams and advance their careers in higher education.
The appointee will join the vibrant AAPSEF team to deliver a variety of learning and teaching activities in programmes, e.g.: Master of Arts in Global Higher Education [MA(GlobalHE)] and a new Master’s programme in Higher Education. Responsibilities mainly include: i) Undertaking teaching duties at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, and/or supervising postgraduate students; ii) Formulating strategies for the development of the Academy that are in alignment with the strategic direction of the University; iii) Overseeing the planning and execution of various initiatives, events, and programmes to ensure they achieve the KPI’s set out for them; iv) Supporting the development of the Academy, working closely with the Executive Committee Members and Centre Directors of the Academy; v) Developing and maintaining strategic partnership of the Academy with stakeholders both Faculties and Departments within the University, and external parties including but not limited to donors and service users; and vi) Contributing to curriculum and programme development, programme and course management and partake in the Academy’s activities and represent programme(s) in meetings and various boards and committees, and provide good service contributions to the University and the community.
Applicants preferably hold a Doctoral degree in Higher Education or a closely related discipline, along with substantial teaching experience following qualification. They must also provide evidence of quality teaching and/or a proven record of successful, relevant professional experience at the tertiary level.
Applicants with specialisation in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong SAR studies will be highly preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits.
