Finance Data Analyst
Location: United States (Remote)
Reporting to: Head of Finance

What You Will Do As a Finance Data Analyst/Finance support:

This role will support accounting and operational day-to-day and month end close functions. In addition, this person will build dashboards, provide metrics and leverage AI to provide accurate, timely and decision driving analytics. Manual keyed reports will be consolidated into functional worksheets using AI based tools and reduce manual entry. Heavy use in Excel, but needs to understand database structure, analytics, and support continual process improvements in the finance arena. A basic understanding of operations and accounting is needed, with OTJ provided. Expertise and experience in reporting, Excel, and MS Office suite are required.

Day to Day accounting functions include posting AR balances, bank balances, paying vendors and other duties necessary to meet tight accounting deadlines.

Your Key Responsibilities
 
  • Excel proficient (Pivots, data analytics)
  • Power BI or other data based reporting proficient
  • AI experience (Chat, Copilot)
  • Proficient understanding of MS Office technology (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Experience with defining business requirements and translating into reporting and analytics.
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and meeting deadlines
  • Finance/accounting experience preferred, not required
  • Process review and improvement experience
  • Undergraduate degree in data analytics and reporting or comparable degree.

  • Interest in developing practical business and operational knowledge through hands-on experience. 
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Business, or a related field. 
  • Relevant internship experience preferred; one to two years of professional work experience is a plus. 
  • Prior experience that demonstrates understanding of business operations, organizational processes, or analytical problem-solving is highly valued. 
     
Work Environment
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while remaining responsive and engaged. 
  • Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., though flexibility may be required based on business needs and time zones. 
  • Remote position with initial travel to Brea, CA for onboarding, training, and occasional business meetings.
 
Compensation Information
 
Total Compensation Target: $70,000 - $95,000/annually (Base + Bonus)
Base Salary Range: $63,000 - $85,500/annually
Bonus Target: $7,000 - $9,500/annually
