As a Business Performance Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role in driving continuous improvement across our IIA business operations. Working withing a value-stream-led model, you will support our Principals in the design and execution of end-to-end improvements, using Lean Six Sigma, strong analytical capability, and structured problem-solving.
You will work closely with leaders, Principals, and cross-functional teams to analyse current performance, redesign end-to-end processes, and embed sustainable improvements that deliver measurable business outcomes for our customers and our business. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Meanjin (Brisbane) or Naarm (Melbourne).
What You'll Do
• Analyse current state process and value stream performance to identify inefficiencies, risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities
• Support Principals in the delivery of value-stream-led improvement initiatives across IIA business operations.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of future-state processes that improve performance, quality, efficiency and operational resilience
• Develop data-driven insights, baselines, and supporting analysis to inform recommendations and track outcomes.
• Support value realisation activities by assisting with benefit estimation, measurement and post-implementation tracking.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to support co-design, stakeholder alignment, and change embedding.
• Identify opportunities for digitisation, automation, or system enablement as part of process and value stream redesign.
• Support prioritisation discussions by providing analysis on value, risk, feasibility, and sequencing.
• Assist in embedding standard work, controls, and governance to support compliance by design, consistency and resilience.
• Coach and support teams in the practical application of continuous improvement tools and methods.
What You'll Bring
• 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in continuous improvement, business performance, or process optimisation, including the use of Process Intelligence tools such as Process and Task Mining
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred) with practical application in operational environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with confidence working with data, insights and performance metrics
• Experience operating as a senior specialist, delivering work with autonomy while aligning to Principal-led direction.
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and support change
• Experience working in financial services or regulated environments (highly regarded)
