TITLE: Band Director/Instrumental/Chorus/General Music Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal (s)
JOB GOAL: To teach students according to county and state policy, mission, core beliefs, academic goals, and target areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess a valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate for Music PK-AD.
• Completion of a successful background check.
• Ability to teach all levels and types of music classes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability providing differentiated instruction and intervention to students exhibiting a wide range of abilities and behaviors.
• Must accept co-curricular assignments as assigned
• Any combination of training and experience which would lead to successful employment as an Instrumental/Chorus/General Music Teacher/Band Director

• Directs performances by the music students for all fine and performing arts productions and events
• Trains instrumental/chorus/ general music/band students for participation in concerts, musicals, music contests and festivals
• Collaborates with music colleagues throughout the county to organize performances
• Coordinates all performances through the principal or designee prior to scheduling
• Arranges transportation for all performances
• Performs other duties assigned by the Principal, Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent
