Job Description

The Academic Project Manager will support the development, execution, and reporting of strategic initiatives at Belmont University. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Research and Strategic Initiatives, the academic project manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, provides critical feedback, and manages long-term projects through inception, development, delivery and reporting. Primary position responsibilities: Manage standing programs within the provost office including academic badging programs (i.e. Foster Care), university policy review committee management, and liaison manager for the IRB. The position will also provide management to other programs as directed by the vice provost for research and strategic and initiatives. Collaborate with the VPRSI in the development and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with institutional goals and objectives. This includes interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to foster relationships, gather input, and promote collaboration in project planning. Draft communications, reports, and other written materials related to projects and programs, including progress reports, and project deliverables to track project milestones, performance indicators, outcomes, and coordinate collaborative convening. Manage the VPRSI office budget, coordinate budgets for reporting ORGs (BUCIES, OSP, IRSA, BDAIC, IRB), and related programs. This includes financial oversight of responsible projects and programming to ensure adherence to allocated resources and responsible financial stewardship. This position also works directly with EI to establish effective market analysis for new graduate degree programs. The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
