Job Summary Porter Airlines is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Solutions Delivery team. In this position you will work collaboratively within the business, technology, and front-line teams to gather and document detailed requirements. You will be responsible for the analysis stages for projects you are assigned to. The Business Analyst reports directly to the Manager, Business Analysis and Business Relations. Duties & Responsibilities Who you are You are passionate about gathering requirements to ensure business needs are met You are detail oriented and have strong documentation skills You are able to ask the “right” questions and analyze business data to gather business requirements You have strong verbal and written communication skills, and are able to convey solution requirements at both a business level and a technology implementation level You are organized, analytical and possess a strong business acumen You love solving problems and thrive under pressure You are a team player who can work with researchers, designers, developers, QA analysts, project managers, front-line staff and business stakeholders You have a strong understanding of the business analysis processes within an Agile environment You have a proven track record of learning different industries and businesses You go beyond what is asked and constantly challenge yourself Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Business Architect to develop overall business solutions. Work broadly with the Business Architect, Business Owners, UX Researchers, PMs, BAs and Technology to break down the designed solutions into detailed business requirements. Conduct workshops and interviews to gather requirements. Develop iterative business rules, user stories, use cases and detailed requirement documents. Develop Jira tickets. Conduct process mapping. Actively participate in the sprint refinement/estimation/review/retrospective Work closely with the technology lead and dev team to answer requirements questions, gathering further requirements and helping to develop solutions when required. Work with the Business Architect, Technology and Digital Managers, UX researcher, PMs and BAs to develop the conceptual design, business analysis processes and templates that fit within our existing agile process. Work independently, but know when to raise issues or seek help from Managers and others. Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents, and promotes the Company’s Safety Policy.
