Job Summary
The CAD Designer is responsible for creating formal detailed piece part and assembly drawings from preliminary sketches, specifications, and other engineering input utilizing Cabinet Vision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize and incorporate engineering and manufacturing standards.
- Assist engineers in 3D modeling and drawing creation.
- Work with manufacturing engineers in processing documentation and work instructions.
- Work with Sales with initial concept approval drawings.
- Prepare bills of material (BOM's) for specific designs as they are developed and detailed.
- Work in a team environment.
- Communicate effectively to team and manufacturing personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with Cabinet Vision software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum two years' experience in drafting and design support.
- Experience with product data management.
- Experience with laminate and manufacturing.
