About the business unit:

The Finance Business Unit of KPMG SA is responsible for providing services that support the business objectives and strategy of the firm. It oversees financial systems, planning and management activities, including budgeting and forecasting, collections, reporting and compliance, and creation of value.

Description of the role and purpose of the job:

The purpose of the Financial Transformation Senior Analyst role is to advise and implement strategic choices to help improve the finance function. This includes supporting new businesses models and capabilities, and the identification of opportunities to transform the finance organization leveraging digital technologies. Maintain and develop automated and AI-driven solutions to enhance financial operations.

Key responsibilities:

·       Support comprehensive finance & accounting transformation engagements, from visioning and target operating model development through future state validation, deployment, and evolution.

·       Understand and advise how robotics can be used to automate transaction processing, data manipulation and communication across the finance function.

·       Understand financial planning and analysis market trends considering sub-offerings being finance transformation, digital finance transformation, operational finance & business finance.

·       Advise on improving finance business partnering & process transformation.

·       Core modernization with cloud, process robotics and visualization. Exponential solutions including advanced analytics, cognitive computing, in-memory computing and blockchain.

·       Training and supporting users to transition to new technology

·       Provision of references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation

·       Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

·       Ability to run with proposals. Pull together a team to support (cross service lines if needed), deal review and pricing, etc.

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):

·       B.Com in Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification and/or relevant professional qualification.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

·       Accounting Experience, minimum 5 years.

·       Advanced knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and/or similar practice management integrations (i.e. SAP IBS).

·       2–5 years of experience in RPA, AI, or financial systems development

·       Demonstrated experience with RPA tools (Power Automate, UiPath, Blue Prism, etc.).

·       Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and optionally VBA or JavaScript.

·       Experience in a professional services firm preferable.

·       Training experience would be highly advantageous.
